Hi Warrick, Toorak College is now using Scholaris as our LMS. We have replaced Blackboard due to the cost of modifying the program and its strong ties with USA education. Scholaris is the frontend to Sharepoint a Microsoft product. It has been well received by the students and staff. We intend to release it to the parents in 2010. The latest version is coming out very soon. It will have a few extra features that we have been looking for. Essentially a markbook - comment feature to allow parents to see how their daughters are goin at school. This could be the death of the end of semester report paper, folders, mailing, proof reading, etc. Continuous online reporting, something we have been investigating for some time.

Hi Dale; thanks for that comment. I've heard Moodle can be high maintenance but you're the second person who's spoken very highly of it. And the price is right!

Hi Warrick
Tauranga Intermediate installed Moodle and has slowly been introducing it to classes this year. I would thoroughly recommend it. We are a fully Apple Computer based school and our Moodle is running on an Apple Server. Several of the schools in Tauranga are using Moodle as well.

Your LMS summary is fantastic , I have recently been appointed as the team leader for learning and teaching support at Chisholm and the team are highly focussed on building e learning capability. Would love to catch up to explore mutual opportunities.
