
Just back from two conferences (ASCD/ACEL) and Curriculum Corporation and the indisputable winner is … (drum roll) … FINLAND.
This gorgeous little country with the jagged edges was on the lips of lots of presenters who pointed to its show-stopping international test results such a PISA.
Apparently, educational researchers from all over the world are booking into cold Helsinki hotels looking for the secret to their success. Peter Dawkins talked about it, Geoff Masters talked about it, and lots of others alluded to it.
I guess if you ask the wrong questions, you get the wrong answers.
